Our Literacy Program – A Brief VideoTribute

The brief slideshow in this post is a tribute to all the women attending our literacy program, our literacy workers and our courageous staff in Khartoum. This year has been especially challenging and we have had to suspend many of our programs because of the pandemic. We look forward to restarting our women’s literacy circles as soon as it is safe to do so.

Below, so much more than reading and writing – just some of the skills and knowledge our literacy program provides. As Sudan battles to recover from the economic impact of Covid, being able to read and write and earn a living will be a lifeline for so many families living in some of the most deprived communities in Khartoum.

“A woman is a school.”
