In the week when the Taliban once again cast a dark shadow over the future of girls’ education in Afghanistan, this blogpost celebrates the intellectual and imaginative worlds liberated by primary schooling for girls in Sudan, where educational opportunity is highly valued. فيلم شارع المدرسة School Road is an evocative 8-minute film directed by Razan Hashim (subtitled in English), dedicated to the joys and endless possibilities of being a schoolgirl.
