“Have you ever cried about something so vast, you could not begin to describe it? A looming threat so enveloping, that you feel is a kind of suffocation, a premonition that at any minute you could be swallowed, forgotten and made invisible by force.”
The Moral judgement of Butterflies, K.Eltinaé

“We are a nation of master builders / So bring mortar / Let’s Build, build build,
/ A theatre and a club / A factory and a post office /
war, no, no, no ”
Mahjoub Sherif

That opening poetic quote is so poignant. For those in touch with Sudanese in Khartoum at this time, it is so apposite.
I’ve printed it out to read a few more times today as it helps me feel the bewildered pain of my friends in Sudan at this time.
Thank you!
